The first sakura flowers bloom on a double-width linen fabric. Printed using a metal cylinder to give a stencilled look, its white petals seem to have just been painted on the cloth. Blown away on the first breeze, they embody the ephemeral spirit. A delicate interpretation of spring, sketched using a matte ink to give a slight relief to each petal.
