The overlay of metallic ink printing and embroidery adds allure and majesty to this 100% linen fabric. The Paisley pattern on the fabric symbolises the elegance of a movement performed by the horse rider's mount in joyous voltes. The place du Carrousel takes its name from the military horse show put on by Louis XIV. Between the Jeu de Paume Museum and the rue de Rivoli there is also a very pretty 'carrousel': a merrygoround of wooden horses.
