Les Toiles du Soleil fabrics are 100% high quality cotton fabrics. The wooven-cotton striped fabric come from Saint Laurent de Cerdans, a little town in the catalan region of France and is made in a 150 years old factory that still works in the authentic way in order to keep the very best quality and durability. It is thick and ideal for upholestery and curtains. 350 m2/g. Les Toiles du Soleil brand is regularly advertised in many decor magasines.
All Toiles du Soleil fabrics have been woven by crasftsmen, with the use of first quality pure cotton threads. This twined thread called "retors" in technical terms, is made of two threads rolled together to produce one final thread. This type of thread is used in the weft as well as in the warp, which gives the fabrics this somewhat rough touch.
The SUNBRELLA fabric is perfectly suited for the outdoors because it is sun-stain-and water-resistant.
Its coloration, specific to "Les Toiles du Soleil", comes from a staining process named "grand teint". This quality of dying guarantees that colours do not easily fade away.
