This design, created in the spirit of the chinoiserie that was so fashionable in the 18th century, remains just as attractive today in contemporary decoration. Its printed bucolic motif illustrates a flourishing garden in full bloom. Bamboo, sinuous branches, Japanese peonies and cherry blossom intermingle on a background of rusty, golden or silvery blue metallic leaves. The soft flowing fabric evokes the brightness of silk. Ideal for use as curtains, wall hangings or accessories.
