Fabric Volanges by Tassinari & Chatel belongs to Patrimoine colection.
Damask of the French Regency period from the Tassinari & Chatel archives. There are two bouquets, composed of flowers, foliage and fruit, framed by a wide satin border, repeated four times across the width on a patterned ground, which creates an elegant relief. The colours are inspired by the period when the taste was for gentle refinement with golds, silvers and the charm of opal, perhaps even the strong opulence of rubies, bronze and carnelian. Madame de Volanges is one of the characters in the novel "Les Liaisons dangereuses" by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.
