Mango wood is strong and durable and comes from the mango fruit tree. This tree grows mainly in Southeast Asia and in India the mango fruit stands for prosperity, luxury and wealth. The wood has basically a warm color, but it is also characterized by strong color differences, where sometimes light, yellowish pieces may occur. For our Kerf platters, the natural structure of the wood was enhanced by hand-carving lines into the surface and giving it a rust color.
